The Socrates website is being built with the aim of facilitating a universal access to it, regardless of the technical, physical, sensorial or intellectual limitations of the persons who wish to consult the page and their framework of use (type of device, programmes, connection speed, environmental conditions, etc.).
Therefore, we work towards the goal of adapting the whole web to the recommendations of the World Wide Web Consortium –W3C- in order to take down any walls that may interfere with the access to information and communication. These recommendations are specified in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines WCAG 1.0.
Cromlec is committed to satisfy, at least, the Priority 1 and 2 checkpoints in the WCAG guidelines, thus achieving a conformance level “Double-A” (AA), as demanded for public administration by the European and Spanish legislations (law 34/2002). Cromlec will also try to satisfy Priority checkpoint 3 as far as it can.
